Linux advocacy considered silly

Filed under Intertubes on October 18th, 2007

While surfing the intertubes, I have read a lot of absurd, uniformed and off the wall statements made by Open Source advocates. The one I’m about to share with you is up there with the best (i.e worst) of them.

There’s this guy, and he is posting in his blog about the things he misses the most from OS X since he migrated to Ubuntu. One of the things he misses is Quicksilver, our beloved app-launcher-plus-swiss-army-knife app. Here’s what a random linux fan had to say to ease his pain:

re: Quicksilver: learn shell programming and never look back.

Don’t ask me why, but I just don’t see Linux on the Desktop happening any time soon ;-)
