Really? I missed that story.

On his company page he currently lists FlySketch alongside Acorn. It's only FlySketch 1.6, though, so you might be right about FlySketch 2.

[Live update] OK, I found the story you mention: it's an interview on TUAW. Gus says:

Acorn started out as FlySketch 2, and was going to be 10.5 only. However, as time went on and I was making big changes, it really became another app.

Am not sure if this means that (a) FlySketch 2 was cancelled in favor of a putting out a kind of app (Acorn), or if (b) while Acorn started out as FlySketch 2 the two applications diverged after a while.

If anyone can shed some more light into this, please do so.

In the story of creating Acorn, Gus had said FlySketch 2.0 became Acorn.

Thusly, FlySketch 2.0 may be a non-existent product.
